I say to you, I certainly get irked while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. 9. Globalization and English proficiency in Cambodia 2019
    http://www.learningenglish-cambodia.com/importance-of-learning-English-in-Cambodia.php
The big wide world, our huge planet has become a tiny village. Not literally, of course. But figuratively, the gigantic rock in the Milky Way galaxy we all call home has become a mere pebble. With advances in technology and air travel different cultures with different languages are in the same metaphorical neighborhood. The need for a global language is fundamental to living in such close quarters. English has filled that void. Not only is English essential for us to communicate but it has become the language of opportunity: people generally earn more money if they are proficient in English. Some Asian countries came to English early as colonies of England or the United States. Unfortunately, Cambodia came to English late (in 1989) and is behind in English proficiency. As we will see in this article, there are many forces at work which bode well for Cambodia improving English proficiency and being a more productive member of our global village.

  10. Cambodia and Education 2018/19
This traditional education system was originally changed by the French occupation of Cambodia in 1863 before their eventual withdrawal in 1953. The French left a more formal, western style education system which was later developed and combined with the traditional system to suit the Khmer people in the independence period circa 1960.

The Khmer Rouge and the civil wars that followed in the 1970’s would prove to be the most infamous and horrific time in Cambodia’s history. During this time a functional and productive education system that was the result of hundreds of years of fine tuning would be virtually destroyed much like the rest of the country and its people.

In the 1980’s and 1990’s the education system would be reconstructed from virtually zero and is gradually being developed and improved all the way up to the current day.

The formal education structure of Cambodia was reformed in 1996 and, at time of writing in 2018, there are many signs of improvement in the state and private education systems.
